Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving... and I thought I'd take a minute to write about how thankful I am for all the blessings in Jarred and my life - our families, church, jobs, and most importantly - our faithful Savior. When I think about how good He has been to us, I am overwhelmed. As I'm typing this, the house is full of family and the smells of homemade pecan pies! It's so easy to take things like that for granted (I am definitely guilty of this - I even found myself getting stressed and taking those little things for granted today).
We've enjoyed spending the day with my sister, Melinda doing an adoption photo shoot. Then tonight as I was looking back at all the beautiful pictures, I realized that this could be our last Thanksgiving as a family of two! We submitted our application to Faithful Adoption Consultants on Monday and should hear back from them in about two weeks.
I used the pictures from today and ordered Christmas cards tonight! I am so excited - they look AMAZING!!! I am constantly amazed by the talent and creativity of my sister! Our prayer is that these Christmas cards would be the first contact for our adoption fundraising. More on that soon!
